Debbie Harding is the owner of Jannu Rental Management and also works in the business as the main property manager. Debbie is passionate about property and together with her husband, Jim, she owns a number of rental properties in Christchurch. 
 
Debbie has had ten years' experience in the industry. Our clients come from far and wide; some are in Christchurch, some in New Zealand and many are overseas.
Debbie started her property management career in a real estate office where she worked for several years before going overseas for a year. She believes this gives her a wide knowledge base around different property management structures and their effectiveness.
 
On Debbie’s return from overseas, she decided to make the big move of starting her own business as she was disillusioned with property management practices and the lack of service and accountability in the industry as a whole. Debbie, until recently, held a real estate salespersons certificate and has had previous experience in selling real estate many years ago. She has since let the sales certificate lapse as she feels that selling properties presents a conflict of interest and a property manager should be truly independent in order to provide the best service to clients. 
 
Years of experience in the property market have provided valuable insight into what properties are suitable investments and some of the pitfalls of owning rental properties and what can be done to maximize returns and minimize difficulties.  Debbie believes that property investment is the best way to maximise returns on your hard earned dollars. She is happy to share her experiences to help you achieve the best results in investment.

Kristin Rochford started working at Jannu Rentals in January 2008 initially as the receptionist and personal assistant to Debbie. This role quickly evolved into a trainee property manager. Kristin’s superior organizational skills ensure that the business runs efficiently and that tenant concerns are deal with promptly and effectively.

Kristin is responsible for entering all rents received and following up on unpaid rent. Jannu
Rentals have an enviable record of zero rent arrears. We believe this is due to the fact that we have a stringent tenant selection process. Quality properties attract quality tenants.
As an aside, Kristin is Debbie’s daughter and we are convinced there is a certain osmosis that occurs when you live and breathe property as a child. This has enabled Kristin to adapt easily to her role.  

 

Jannu Rentals is a family business and as such we take pride in caring about both our tenants and owners. We believe we can offer a superior service to property owners that encompasses property management services along with helpful investment advice.  As the business continues to grow through referrals from our existing clients (it is unlikely you will see us advertising for business) it is envisaged that Kristin will move more into a property management role and we will employ another staff member.
